On Thursdays at Hope Chapel, Hebden Bridge we are offering a variety of string ensembles:
Mini Strings
For children age 4 – 7 years.
Developing musicianship (one’s skill as a musician) and having an understanding of how music works through games, songs and play with violins suitable for small children. Children will learn about;
Pitch
Rhythm
Notation
Listening with concentration and understanding
Beat keeping
Improvising and composing
Word play
Coordination
Memory
Singing in tune
£5 per session.
Take A Bow
Group tuition and group ensemble playing on the violin, with the option of moving on to viola or cello.
For 7 to 11 year olds. No playing experience necessary. We can also provide instrument hire.
Thursdays 4:30pm at Hope Chapel, Hebden Bridge.
£5 per session.
String Ensemble
Perhaps you’re learning how to play a string instrument in the classroom at school, or you’re having a lesson with a music teacher and want to play with other young people outside of your usual lesson time. If you’re under 18 and play violin, viola or cello in the Hebden Bridge area then this group is for you!
The group meet every Thursday during term time 5pm – 6pm at Hope Chapel, Hebden Bridge. The group is run by our strings specialist, Miss Moss. £5 per session. You will need to bring your instrument with you. If you need to borrow one, you can add instrument hire to your application. For pupils of all abilities who play Violin, Viola or Cello. Under 18s only.
