Yorkshire Wind Orchestra

The Yorkshire Wind Orchestra are performing at The Old Courthouse!

Following an afternoon workshop with young people at Calderdale Music, hear the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra in a public concert at The Old Courthouse in Halifax.

We will be playing a selection of music written for wind band and showing the range of sounds available to this ensemble.

Programme highlights include the film music of Ennio Morricone (Moment for Morricone), the well-known tune “Danny Boy” (Irish Tune and Shepherd’s Hey – Percy Grainger), and the ever popular Paris Sketches by British composer Martin Ellerby.

The full programme can be found, along with ticket reservations at: https://www.yorkshirewinds.co.uk/Halifax

The Yorkshire Wind Orchestra is an amateur group of around 40 musicians from across Yorkshire who enjoy playing a wide range of music written or arranged for woodwind, brass and percussion.
