Insurance is required by schools or parents to cover the cost of instrument replacement in the event of damage/loss etc. Any servicing/repairs will be carried out by a qualified instrument technician on behalf of Calderdale Music. Calderdale Music will charge for any damage encountered.

Individual or small group instrumental lessons are charged at £30 per hour. Calderdale Music will arrange timetabling and organise direct payments with parents for one-to-one and small group instrumental lessons taking place in your school.

The DfE have now published a “Model Music Curriculum”. This is a non-statutory curriculum that exhibits the level of ambition schools should be aiming for in their delivery of music. Calderdale Music are developing our offer to schools to include CPD and networking opportunities. All such events will support schools to strive for the same level of ambition as set out in the Ofsted Inspection Framework and we will be drawing upon the “MMC” in all our future CPD sessions.
