Workshop with The Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment

Sunday 26th February 2023, 12:30pm – 4:30pm at Calderdale Music, The Old Courthouse, Halifax

Calderdale Music are pleased to offer young woodwind and brass players an opportunity to play and perform with The Band Of The Yorkshire Regiment.

The band will run a workshop for students, followed by a joint performance. The venue is Calderdale Music’s base at The Old Courthouse, Blackwall, Halifax Town Centre, HX1 2DL. The workshop is suitable for pupils grade 5 standard and above although we do welcome grade 4 students who like a challenge!

There is no charge to pupils for taking part in this workshop.

To keep the band even, there will be a limited amount of places per instrument. Timings are as follows:
12:30pm – 1:00pm Registration
1:00pm – 2:00pm Full Rehearsal
2:00pm – 2:45pm Sectionals
2:45pm – 3:30pm Full Rehearsal
4:00pm – 4:20pm Concert

Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. The closing date for applications is Friday 17th February 2023. This is to allow time for the band to plan their repertoire and arrange parts accordingly.
