Carly Boote

Music Leader

About

Carly took an early interest in music, learning the Clarinet, Saxophone and Piano whilst at primary school. Carly played in local and county bands on Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone whilst in secondary school and was sometimes found in the orchestra pit for shows at the local theatre.

Whilst studying for her A levels Carly began to teach the younger pupils of the school and this is where her love of teaching began. She loved to inspire the younger pupils and see the enjoyment music was bringing them. After gaining an A at A -level music, Carly went on to study music at Leeds College of Music and graduated with a BA Honours degree majoring in Saxophone and Clarinet. Whilst studying here Carly continued to teach, which was her main passion, and the days she wasn’t at University she was in local primary schools sharing music with others.

Carly has been teaching music in Calderdale since 2007 to a wide variety of schools and pupils. Carly enjoys teaching a mixture of lessons from whole class to individual, on Clarinet, Saxophone, Flute and Piano. Carly loves to teach all ages and aims to give a lifelong love of music to all of her pupils.
