Mr Williamson has been playing music in various forms all his life, from school orchestras to teenage punk bands and his later work as a producer of landscape-inspired ambient electronic music.
Mr Williamson’s passion is opening the doors of improvisation and composition for children and young people and, for the last eight years, has led various incarnations of the Primitive Percussion Youth Orchestra, whose music has been played on BBC Radio 3, amongst other outlets.
Mr Williamson has also been teaching whole class music lessons for over ten years as a PGCE-qualified primary school teacher and now brings these skills to Calderdale Music where he teaches whole class ukulele, guitar and brass, as well as leading themed improvisation workshops.
