Samantha Pearson

Sammy began trumpet lessons at the age of 8 with Rotherham Music Service and then started piano lessons when she was 11.

In her teenage years, Sammy became more involved with the Rotherham Music Service ensembles which also took her abroad to many European countries and even to America.

She went on to study Music at GCSE, A Level and then at degree level at the University of Huddersfield in 2009.

Before working for Calderdale Music Sammy worked in a primary school as a Cover Supervisor and ran her own Music Club. Sammy also has experience in peripatetic brass teaching and whole class tuition.

In her spare time she enjoys escape room games and playing the trumpet in the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra, the Calderdale Big Band and the Harrogate Symphony Orchestra.
