Do your staff need support and confidence in music teaching?
Our aim is for consistency and confidence in delivering music lessons across your school and throughout Calderdale. Afterwards, these sessions can be disseminated to your staff via your school’s internal training sessions – presentations and resources will be shared after the sessions for you to use.
These sessions will also be recorded if you can’t attend in person.

Plus using practical musical skills on typical classroom instruments (including untuned and glockenspiel, recorder & ukulele), we will look at the basics of classroom instrumental teaching including correct technique and expected outcomes.
Using listening games and resources to determine understanding and develop declarative knowledge.
Putting their skills and knowledge into new creations. How to guide and support teachers and pupils in being creative and expressive.
We will look at each strand look at different levels and also how to assess them; how do we know if pupils are achieving the expected levels. Alongside how to monitor, record and use data from assessments.
