Free Workshop With Valley Strings

Calling all young string players aged 7–18! Whether you’re just starting out or already have experience, we’d love to welcome you to our Valley Strings Workshop on Thursday 5th March, 5:00pm – 6:00pm at Riverside Junior School.

If you’re learning how to play violin, viola or cello then this workshop is for you. Get ready for a fun, relaxed hour of ensemble music‑making!

Who The Workshop Is For:

To join in, you must be able to:

• Play open strings with a bow
• Read crotchets, quavers and minims (All abilities beyond this are warmly welcomed, we will make sure you have parts that are suitable for your level.)
• Have an instrument to play on. (If you are learning an instrument through school and don’t have one at home, please don’t worry – just let us know and you can borrow one from us.)

If you’re not sure about anything, please get in touch and we can advise, or speak to your teacher

What to Expect:

• New music to try, designed for a mixed ability string group
• Playing music with other people
• A short performance for parents at the end of the workshop

This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, meet other young musicians, and experience playing in a string group. And best of all — it’s completely free to attend!
