What Is Voices Together?
In 2024, Voice Together brought over 1200 children from 42 Calderdale schools over 3 nights to sing. We are excited to bring Voices Together back in 2025! A few “Big Songs” will be performed by all those involved, accompanied by our live band. In addition, each choir/singing group has the opportunity to sing a song of their own choice on the stage. The evening performance will be watched by family and friends from the circle and balcony (stalls and stage area are restricted to performers and their chaperones).

What Do Calderdale Schools and Parents Think About Voices Together?
In their own words, here is some feedback from our schools and parents who had children taking part in Voices Together in 2023 or 2024
“We absolutely loved being part of this and we received so many positive comments from the children and the parents about the concert. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome and it was so well organised. The band were fabulous and it was great for the children to experience live music to sing with.”
“What an absolutely fantastic, heart warming and mind blowing show. My daughter was there with [her school] but I honestly cherished every moment from all the schools. It was truly wonderful from start to finish. Offering that opportunity to children of Calderdale is something they will never forget and may even be life changing for some. Thank you.”
“We all had the most amazing day and can’t wait to be part of this again next year or future events. I was already looking at new choirs songs last night and I have school full of pupils desperate to be in the choir, after hearing all about it today. Thank you”
“It’s been a wonderful experience and the children were absolutely loving life. It’s certainly something they won’t forget in a hurry. We also had some incredible feedback from the parents afterwards who all thought it was amazing!! “
“What an evening! We were blown away with the high quality and the sheer enthusiasm of the children. Such a beautiful collaborative event, and such a fantastic experience to give so many young people. A huge thank you to you and your team for organising this massive event.”
Photo & Video Consent
We strive to make all children feel included in Voices Together. An essential part of this is the use of cameras to project live footage of the children taking part on to a screen above the stage, so that they know they can be seen by their parents and families even though they may not be singing from the stage all the time.
We also want schools and parents to feel they can celebrate their childrens’ success by being allowed to share images and videos of the event with others.
A parent or school staff member may take a photo or video that captures your child in the background behind their child/choir, or on the screen above the stage, and they may share these images and videos online.
You will receive a letter from school asking you to give consent for your child to appear in photos and videos. This consent is essential for them to take part in Voices Together, as due to the reasons above we are unable to guarantee that your child won’t be captured in images and videos of the event.
Please know that safeguarding of pupils is Calderdale Music’s highest priority. If you have any questions or issues please speak to your school, who will get in touch with us. Calderdale Music will not share names of pupils on any photos/videos that we may publish. To see how our footage may be used, please watch the video on the link above.
You can click here to download and read copy of our media consent form . This will be completed by schools on behalf of their school group.

Tickets
The link for tickets will be shared with schools on Wednesday 30th April.
Ticketholders with accessibility needs can book seats in the stalls by phoning the Victoria Theatre box office. Please note that there will be a lot of excited children singing from the stalls too! In the interval, we will be swapping children around so that those in the stalls get to sing on stage, and we’ll be bringing children down from the stage to the stalls. This means at the interval things may get a little bit crowded, until a point where children are sat in the correct places. We appreciate your understanding with this and will try not to cause you any inconvenience.
Tickets will be available through the Victoria Theatre website. We will send a link to schools when tickets are available.
The ticket link will not be made public on the VIctoria Theatre website.
