Whole Class Ensemble and Curriculum Music Teaching

A broad and balanced music curriculum in your school delivered by a qualified and experienced Calderdale Music Leader.
Tailored to your own school’s curriculum where possible.
Key Stage 1 curriculum would develop singing, support children in playing simple instruments, foster skills for listening and give opportunities to explore and create ideas using sound.
- We would recommend that Key Stage 1 children receive a 30 minute lesson per week.
Key Stage 2 curriculum would further develop singing to include part singing, performance based projects that will develop skills in playing an instrument, composition skills, a basic understanding of the development of music through history, a range of vocabulary for describing music and basic aural skills.
- We would recommend that Key Stage 2 children receive a 45-60 minute lesson per week
